John and Adam,
I just wanted to thank you for the helping make our meet the success that is was this year.
Brett was excellent…he knew exactly what needed to be done, was well organized, easy to work with and a fabulous representation of DGS 9.9's.

Subject: New Spring Strip
John:
The team is telling me the strip is awesome! (Don't expect me to test it out - I'll watch and spot when necessary!)
The floor arrived Tuesday, just before a girl's meet so we set up for them in a flash, and the boys actually stayed
until the meet ended at 8:15 to test it out! Friday, the boys from the last two years came to visit during morning class.
Last year's captain and top scorer, Ben Antoine, now at Carnegie Mellon when college classes resume next week, did a double front!.
He consistently does a double back, but fwds, just on the floor? Great! Other boys I had to hold back because they aren't
that talented or experienced (Ben was at World Cup Chappaqua for a number of years before coming here).
Friday to set up , I called the number on my cell phone - turned out this one was the driver.
But he knew about setting up and was real helpful. I wanted to make sure I put all the boards and velcro in the correct places.
He said on both the large and the small boards, the double row of springs is to the "outside" which now makes sense since it gives more
support if you land on the edge. The velcro all seemed to match up right then.
Anyway, the team loves it, and I'm just concerned we are setting up properly to ensure safety and long life for the equipment.

It was the first big Invitational Meet for most of my novice gymnasts, and they and their families had a great experience.Especially because all of them made it to the awards podium! It was a first class meet!

Thank you for a great meet! As a parent of a competing gymnast, I would like to compliment you on a nicely organized event.
Especially the awards ceremony! My personal thanks go to Gene for really giving the gymnasts the attention they deserve for a
job well done. Special little details like taking the time to verify how to pronounce last names, complimenting the girls,
reminding them to stay with the sport because they want to stay with the sport and getting them to smile and laugh!
Generally, award ceremonies are so rushed that parents rarely get the opportunity to take photos.
I know my daughter left the gym with a great big smile feeling like she had conquered the world.
Thank you for putting in the extra effort and special touches. We are already looking forward to next year's meet!
